A team of dream weavers! Ha'Né, Shelby, Dave. We have a combined 30+ years of fiber arts, knotwork, ropework, building, fabrication, plant/tree studies and weaving experience between us. We are all multidisciplinary artists, adventurers, professionals and dear friends.
All of us have passionate love and respect for the natural world, and a passion for creating art that helps people feel deeply.
For smaller projects it will primarily be Ha'né weaving. Shelby tends to come in for mid size and up, and Dave is amazing reinforcement for mid to large size projects. If we are weaving at a large scale it is common for us to recruit some additional trusted teammates, and we occasionally call in an arborist under certain circumstances.
We use ultra high tensile strings and ropes to weave beautifully and intricately engineered multi dimensional art in forests and manmade structures. We weave each piece where it will live. Each piece emerges in an utterly unique way. No two are ever the same.
It's an amazing way to spend our time! It's deeply meditative and provides challenging fun puzzles to solve. It allows us to travel and spend time in gorgeous natural spaces, all while getting to form relationships with trees, places, people we otherwise never would have encountered.
It is a beautiful artform we and others get to explore with their entire beings, body mind and soul. Our webs give anyone who experiences them a felt sense of connection with the world around them.
To summarize: Co-creating large scale interactive installation art with your best friends high up in the swaying trees is a dream come true!
